Lu Xun's Research Methods of the History of Ancient Chinese Novels

发掘经典著作中所采用的科学研究方法,对于新时期古代小说研究具有重要意义。集中体现于《中国小说史略》中鲁迅的古代小说史研究方法,其将西方文学研究方法与中国传统治学之法融会贯通,将理论分析与文献考据相结合,以社会历史批评发掘小说的社会文化底蕴;以文化比较研究拓展小说审美维度;以古典目录学之法梳理小说观念的发展,从而为中国古代小说研究树立了学术典范。

It is of significance to explore the scientific research methods used in classic works for the contemporary study of ancient Chinese novels. A Brief History of Chinese Fiction embodies Lu Xun＆#39;s research methods. In this work, Lu Xun combines western literary research methods with traditional Chinese research methods,as wall as bridges theoretical analysis with textual criticism. He studies the ideological and aesthetic implication of novels and the conception of novel by the method of social and historical criticism, cultural comparison, and classical bibliography. These research methods establish an academic model of the study on ancient Chinese novels.
