唐贞观四年(630年),唐太宗开始在桂西北地区实行郡县制和民族羁縻制度以后,自南北朝动乱以来整整三百年被排斥在中国历史之外的桂西北民族地区,重新回到中央政府的政治管辖之下,开创了桂西北民族地区历史发展的新纪元。
