On the Classic Significance and Contemporary Value of Lu Xun's Works

文章针对国人长期存在的对鲁迅的责难、批判和否弃等不正常的文化现象,从两个领域来探讨和论证鲁迅的经典意义与当代价值:第一,从文学的基本性质、品性、功能、作用的角度来论证;第二,从"鲁迅:20世纪中国的民族寓言与民族文本"的范畴来申述,并着重对此点加以论证,指出鲁迅的文本反映了20世纪中国的精神世界、时代气质和文化心理结构。中国现代文学因为拥有这一民族文本,而显现其内蕴的深厚和成就的辉煌,以及具有与世界文学对话的资质和进入世界文学宝库的荣光。同时也为世人了解中国提供了形象化、深刻而可信的文本。

In response to the long-standing domestic condemnation, criticism and denial ot Lu Xun, tins paper discusses and testifies the classic significance and contemporary value of Lu Xun＇s works from two perspectives, i.e. that of literature＇s basic nature, character, function, and role, and that of seeing Lu Xun＇s works as 20th-century China＇s national fable and national text, pointing out that Lu Xun＇s text reflects 20th- century China＇s spiritual world, era disposition and cultural psychological structure. Modem Chinese literature, profound and brilliant, has the glory of getting into the treasure house of world literature, offering vivid, profound and authentic text of China to the world.
