摘要
建立免费对等关系,可以令互联网服务提供商(ISP)减少费用开销并获得更好的传输性能。单个ISP在选择对等互联对象中,评估不同互联对象带来的开销、收益及双方的互联意愿等至关重要,然而它们的关系比较复杂。该文选择以接入点(POP)地理位置之间的距离、假设对等互联建立后的流量、两个ISP在全网中的层次地位来对上述关系进行简化,从而提出了通过计算距离、流量和层次来进行互联选择的简便方法。通过中国教育和科研计算机网(CERNET)的实际对等互联选择过程,验证了该方法的效果。
Free peering reduces 1SP costs and achieves better performance. When an ISP chooses a peer, the ISP must evaluate the cost, the profit and the bilateral willingness to peer for each peering candidate. However, these factors have complex relationships. This analysis uses the distances between POPs (Point of Presence), the potential traffic volume on the peering link, and the layer locations of the two ISPs in the Internet architecture to simplify the complex relationships with a convenient method given to complete the choice. Simulations show how to use this method to solve the free peering decision problem on the China education and research tmtwork (CERNET).
