摘要
在哈罗德·品特的戏剧作品中,过去与现在次序凌乱、错置,人物关系扭曲、破碎;过去从未真正过去,冥冥之中影响着人物的现在。其剧中人物充满焦虑,要么逃避过去却被过去牵绊,要么迷恋过去,以此躲避现在的无奈处境却陷入更加孤独迷茫的境地。其戏剧的剧情大多设置在夜晚,或者像夜晚一样灰暗、阴森的白天,基调消极、压抑。过去与现在,白天与黑夜,在时空转换之中,在对立或者互补中构成时间张力,营造着契合主题的氛围,使其戏剧魅力无限。
In Pinter ’ s dramas the past and present are often misplaced and in disorder , so are the inter-personal relations .Past has never been far away truly , which has always restricted the present fate of the de-pressed and anxious characters with supernatural and invisible hands .They either avoid speaking of the past or are wrapped up in the unforgettable past unwilling to face up the current condition in order to protect them from harsh , helpless reality .His dramas are mostly set at night or on the day as dark and gloomy as the night which makes the tones rather pessimistic and depressing .Day and night , the past and the present show time tension which construct an atmosphere corresponding to the theme .
