During the significant conversion of launch barge CNOOC 229, the longitudinal and transversal strength of the transitional parts of the ship＇s breath were evaluated and analyzed by the FEM analysis,which together with a rule check, validate structure strength of the transitional parts after reinforcement. It could serve as reference and practical experience for similar projects in the future.
