摘要
介绍了部分专业检索人员对Web检索与联机检索的看法、以及一项关于联机与Web搜索引擎两者检索效果的对比性研究。鉴于目前大量传统的收费情报可通过Web免费获取 ,作者着重讨论了如何在Web上免费检索各类传统情报 。
This paper presents the professional searchers'opinions of Web Searching and online searching.A comparative study of the effectiveness of searching for information via online systems and Web search engines is described.Since a vast amount of traditional fee based information is freely available on the Web at present,the author focuses on how the traditional information is freely accessed on the Web.And the impact of free based information searching on the Web against online vendors is discussed.
