The Update of "Social World" :News and the Occurrence of Modernity

本文借用舒茨的"社会世界"理论,尝试回答"新闻何以使现代性成为可能?"这一问题。研究发现,新闻这一"现代文化形式",主要描绘"共同世界"的及时变化,并重构了周遭、前人和共同三个世界的关系。由于"社会世界"不断更新,"共有的现实"持续扩大,人类才得以根据当下和自身安排生活。在此意义上,新闻促进了人的现代转型。

This article tries to answer the question of ＂how news makes modernity possible＂ by the theory of Alfred Schultz＇s ＂social world＂. As a form of modern culture, news mainly displays the change of common world and reconstructs the inner relation about social world. Because of the updating of social world, people are able to arrange life according to the present and themselves. In this sense, news promotes the process of the modemity.
