This paper reviews the existing problem of traditional chain boiler in operation,introduces working principle and feature of one of multi-layer feeding coal device and application effect on chain boiler of 10t/h、20t/h、40t/h.Profit of saving 1～1 6 million tonne of coal per year is prospected,through applying multi-layer feeding coal technology on chain boiler of 3～20MW in Shanxi at first.
