Nucleation Efficiency of Nucleating Agent 1,3,5-Benzenetricarboxylic Acid Tris(cyclohexylamide) in Isotactic Polypropylene

摘要 研究了1,3,5–苯三甲酸三(环己胺)(BTCA–TCHA)成核剂的添加量对聚丙烯(PP)拉伸性能、弯曲性能、雾度以及结晶峰温度的影响,并与高效的商用二苄叉山梨醇类成核剂Millad 3988进行了比较。结果表明,成核剂BTCA–TCHA在较低的添加量(质量分数为0.20%左右)就具有非常优异的成核效果。当BTCA–TCHA质量分数为0.2%时,PP的拉伸强度和弯曲弹性模量可分别从纯PP的30.85 MPa和1 530 MPa提高到33.85 MPa和1 720 MPa(分别提高9.73%和12.42%),雾度可从空白PP的80.12%降低到37.25%,降低幅度为53.51%,而冷却速率为20℃/min时其结晶峰温度可比纯PP提高12℃左右,其成核效果与Millad 3988类似。此外,BTCA–TCHA在PP中的添加量存在一饱和值(质量分数为0.2%),当添加量超过该值以后,继续添加成核剂对PP性能的改善效果不明显。 Effects of addition amount of nucleating agent 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid tris(cyclohexylamide)(BTCA- TCHA) on tensile, flexural and optical properties as well as crystallization peak temperature of polypropylene(PP) were investigated and the results were compared with those of PP nucleated with a highly effective commercial nucleating agent Millad 3988. The results show that BTCA-TCHA have good nucleation effects at very low addition amount(mass fraction about 0.20%). When the mass fraction of BTCA-TCHA in PP is 0.2%, tensile strength and flexural modulus of PP increase from 30.85 MPa and 1530 MPa of pure PP to 33.85 MPa and 1720 MPa(increased by 9.73% and 12.42%), respectively, and the haze value of PP decreases from 80.12% of pure PP to 37.25%(decreased by 53.51%). The crystallization peak temperature of PP at the cooling rate of 20 ~C /min increases by about 12 ℃ when compares to that of pure PE It is found from comparison on nucleation effects of BTCA-TCHA and Millad 3988 that the nucleation efficiency of BTCA-TCHA is similar to that of Millad 3988 with high nucleation efficiency. In addition, a saturation value(mass fraction 0.2%) exists for the addition amount of BTCA-TCHA in PP. When the addition amount of BTCA-TCHA exceeds the value, the effect of improving PP performance through continuing adding BTCA-TCHA is not obvious.
