Social Support Status and Countermeasures for Empty-nest Elderly People

空巢老人数量快速增多已成为不容忽视的社会问题。对这类群体而言,良好的社会支持是其生存和发展的重要力量,而现有社会支持体系在来源、内容、方式等方面存在诸多问题。为此,应构建政府、社区、家庭等优势互补的多层次社会支持体系,强化家庭关爱为根本的支持模式,丰富以社区为平台的社会关系网络,提升政府政策支持力度和有效性。

The increasing number of empty-nest elderly people can’t be ignored. It has become a social problem. To these elderly people, proper social support is vital to their existence and development. However, many problems can be found in the current social support system in the following items such as sources, contents and ways. Therefore, it is essential to construct a multi-level social support system based on complementary advantages of government, community and family. Furthermore, strengthening fundamental family care, enriching community based social network and improving the effectiveness and validity are of great importance to social support system.
