It is impossible for the proposal design of the National Theater of China in Beijing made by Paul Andrew to become an artistic piece, and the structural design of the ellipsoidal dome is nothing new, yet the construction will be utterly difficult and so will be other items. The intention 'to cut off the historical link' declared by Mr. Andrew can never be desirable.
