作者认为, 槇文彦构筑建筑框架的前提是:他首先仔细考察并想象人们实际上会如何从视觉角度和动态角度去体验这座建筑。体验槇文彦的建筑就是去接触在他的作品中展现出来的那种独特的空间密度。作者又以建于荷兰格罗宁根的漂浮建筑物、风的丘葬斋场和代官山集合住宅区第7期这三个项目来说明 文彦试图以一种非常个人化的方式来确定由这个时代的建筑所要求的空间的本质。
The author thinks that Maki subjects the architectural frame under consideration to close scrutiny by imagining how people might actually experience it, visually and kinetically. To experience Maki's architecture is to come into contact with the distinctive density of the space unfolded in the works. The author also provides 3 examples(the floating pavilion in Groningen, the Kaze-no-Oka Crematorium and Hillside West) that Maki is trying to determine, in an extremely personal way, the nature of the space demanded by the architecture in the times.
