Through the use of an object oriented language the authors have developed a software designed for the on line monitoring of rotor stresses and service life management for a Chinese made 200 MW steam turbine. In addition to thermal stress monitoring the software is also capable of abnormal data inquiry, offering guidance for start up and shutdown operations as well as their recollection, etc.
