中国古代具有深厚的家政文化底蕴和家政教育传统,家政教育的历史变迁经历了雏形期、发展期、成熟期等三个阶段,形成了一些比较鲜明的特点:民国时期延续并发展了家政教育的传统,构建了比较完备的家政教育体系,留下了许多宝贵的历史经验,集中体现在三个方面:政府重视和政策引领是家政教育得以长足发展的第一推动力;合理的目标设计和教材编写是家政教育得以长足发展的重要条件;高校家政专业的开办是家政教育得以长足发展的最重要标志。挖掘我国家政教育发展的深厚底蕴并总结其经验教训,可以为中国家政教育的新发展提供有益的历史借鉴。
