摘要
针对ESP进入中国后遭遇的理论困境及教育实践中的不适应状况,分析了ESP作为教学观念的理论内涵,厘清了ESP内在的能够统合"学习者需求分析"和"特定目标导向"的指导功能。在此基础上,结合中国高职高专院校的英语教学改革,进一步确认了ESP理论是一种以就业为导向的教学观,能够同时融合学习者、教学者和用人者三个方面的需求,因而能够适用于以就业为导向的高职高专英语教学改革。
Aiming at theoretical dilemma and misfit in the educational practice after ESP was introduced into China,this paper traces out the development and analyzes the theoretical connotation as a teaching approach, clarifies the function that it is the integration of“learner?s needs analysis”and“special goal oriented”. Based on this,combined with the English teaching reform in Chinese higher voca-tional colleges,this paper confirms further that ESP is a teaching approach facing employment,which can combine the needs of learners, educators and employers,so it can be applied by the employment oriented vocational English teaching reform.
