高职院校大学英语教学中的文化教育

On Cultural Education in College English Teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges

语言和文化密不可分的特性决定了文化教育在英语教学中的重要意义。当前的高职英语教学侧重于学生的语言技能培养,忽视文化的教育。西方文化被呈碎片化,中国文化则几乎完全缺席。教学双方都要增强英语教学中的文化意识,教师在课堂教学中适当介绍中西文化知识,鼓励学生在课外进一步深化中西文化知识,培养文化包容性,提高学生的跨文化交际能力。

The relationship between language and culture determines the significance of cultural educa-tion in English teaching .At present ,English teaching in higher vocational colleges puts more emphasis on skills of the language rather than cultural quality ;therefore ,the western cultural education is fragmentary and the Chinese culture is almost lacking in being taught .Cultural awareness requires that the teachers make full use of the class to introduce culture in various ways ,developing the students＆#39;cultural tolerance and improving their intercultural communicative competence .
