This paper summarizes Professor Hou＇ s clinical experience with pulmonary distention of phlegm-heat obstructing lung pattern. It is believed that phlegm is the pathogenesis of pulmonary distention. Clearing heat and eliminating phlegm are the main methods at stage of attack. The ＂Jindan Qingfei Huatan Formula＂ has made by himself and good results have been achieved. One proven case is presented.
