Using the successful shoal dredging in section 4-C of Santos channel dredging engineering as an example, this paper analyzes the difficulties, key points and precautions in shoal dredging construction with large-scale trailing suction hopper dredger, and proposes an appropriate construction program and several safeguards as a reference for shoal dredging constructions with large-scale trailing suction hopper dredgers.
