It indicates how all of the themes and rhemes are chosen and developed in one text. It is one of the most important factors to be considered in order to understand and create a coherent and cohesive text. In this article, through a brief account of what＂ thematic structure ＂and＂ thematic progression＂ are and a comparative analysis of the differences between the original tourist text and the target tourist text, the author will study what critical rote of＂thematic progression＇theory plays in Chinese-English translation of tourist texts.
