摘要
用钛宝石激光器泵浦单块 (Cr4+ ,Nd3 + ∶YAG)晶体获得了1.0 6 4μm的自调Q激光输出 .激光输出的模式是稳定的单纵模 ,泵浦的阈值功率为 6 3mW ,脉冲宽度 (FWHM)为 8ns,斜率效率高达2 4% .随着泵浦功率的变化 ,脉冲宽度保持不变 ,而重复频率则在变化 .这种把激光增益介质和可饱和吸收体结合到一起的自调Q激光晶体的研究将有利于固体激光器的全固化、集成化和实用化 .
The (Cr,Nd)∶YAG crystal was grown by the standard Czochralski method. There are four absorption bands centered at 0.53, 0.59, 0.75 and 0.81 μm corresponding to the absorption of Nd 3+ . Also, there is a broad absorption band from 900 nm to 1 200 nm corresponding to the 3 A 2 3 T 1 transition of Cr 4+ . By using Ti∶sapphire laser as a pumping source, the self_ Q _switched laser of monolithic (Cr, Nd)∶YAG crystal is demonstrated and the output Q _switched traces are very stable single_longitudinal_mode, the threshold pumping power is 63 mW , the pulse duration is 8 ns and the slope efficiency is as high as 24%. The pulse width is constant while the pulse repetition rates are varied with the variation of the pumping power. The use of laser host crystal co_doped with saturable absorber and laser gain medium can lead to the development of monolithic self_ Q _switched solid state lasers.
