以另类日本人——战争遗孤返回日本生活为题材的小说《告别丰岛园》通过在日华侨女性的另类眼光与真实叙述,对国家的"他者"、文化的"他者"、他者(男人)的"他者"进行探讨,将一个社会学命题转换成具有审美意义的文学文本,从而获得历史纵深与现实意义。文化的"他者"创造出"他者"的文化,这是一种多元的新型文化,为中华文化及现代文学提供了新的视界与空间。

＂Farewell to Fengdao Garden＂ is a novel about alternative Japanese--Japanese orphans left in China during the WWII and returned to Japan after the war. With a perspective of an overseas Chinese woman in Japan and truthful storytell- ing, the novel explores the ＂other＂ of a nation, the ＂other＂ of a culture and the ＂other＂ of the others （ of the men）, transforms a sociological proposition into a literary text full of aesthetic taste, and obtains both historical depth and realistic values. The ＂other＂ of the culture creates a culture of the ＂other＂ --a new diversified culture, which presents a new hori- Zon and space to the Chinese culture and modern literature.
