Research Achievements of Public Security Science: Distribution and Influence

作为夯实公安学一级学科地位的基石，公安学的研究成果一直在稳定增长，研究成果的来源也日益丰富多样。公安学的学科地位及发展空间由多方面因素决定，研究队伍的研究成果及其影响力具有举足轻重的作用。在2001～2013年期间，公安本科院校的论文生产量整体增长，但也体现出明显的不均衡，成果集中于少数几所院校。衡量公安学研究成果地位和价值的一个客观依据是其在权威期刊的发文率和被引用率，公安学在学术界的影响力有待提升。

Research in public security science, the cornerstone of setting up the whole discipline, has been steadily enhanced and the research achievements have also displayed in various forms. The status and developing space of public security science is attributed to many factors. Among these factors, the quality of research achieve- ments and their influence may play an important role. From 2001 to 2013, the overall output of academic articles is on the rise while most of them are yielded from a small number of public security colleges and universities. As the publication rate in core journals and cited rate are considered as the objective standard by which to assess the status as well as the value of research achievements, there remains a lot for public security science to improve its status in academia.
