Through the comparison of R.E.A.D. program in the library setting and in the school setting, the paper points out that the discrepancy results from the difference between Animal-Assisted Activities (AAA) and Animal-Assisted Therapy (AAT). It then distinguishes the definition and features of the two t. and summaries the advantages of animal-assisted reading, which are also the advantages of R.E.A.D. program.
