In America, the dental team is composed of dentist and the dental auxiliaries who include dental hygienist, dental therapist, dental assistant, lab technician and so on. The training programs and practice framework of them are different from each other. We need to learn from the training of dental auxiliaries in America, such as developing the academic education of our dental nursing and improve the education level in order to provide higher quality service, promoting the transdisciplinary education in school education so as to improve the cooperation among the dental team, and facilitating the establishment of dental nursing related association to provide support and guidance for the development of dental nursing.
