The paper elaborates the function of medical libraries, analyzes its advantages and existed problems when facing public e- mergencies. Based on this, it discusses the creative service mechanism in providing services responding to emergencies, including con- structing professional intelligence service team, working out emergency plan, constructing communication channels with other medical li- braries and media organizations, thus medical library could make contributions when facing public emergencies.
