电子信息网络正以惊人的速度发展并对人们的生产方式、生活方式和思维方式产生巨大而深远的影响。作为一把高科技双刃剑 ,网络在促进全球资讯流通的同时 ,也可以被用作传播某种单一文化价值观念的工具。西方发达国家 (主要指美国 )在这方面具有突出的经济、技术、语言和心理优势。这些优势和文化帝国主义背后的政治经济利益相结合 ,使“网络文化帝国主义”成为网络发展带来的社会负效应之一。本文分析了“网络文化帝国主义”现象及其成因 ,并就如何采取应对措施进行了初步探讨。

Nowadays, the Internet is developing in a surprising speed and is influencing people's mode of production, way of living and style of thinking deeply. As a two blade high tech sword, the Internet can promote the moving of the global communication, as well as a tool to transmit a single cultural concept of value. In this aspect, the western developed countries such as U.S. A have the dominant economic, technological, linguistic and psychological advantages. The combination of these advantages to the economical and political benefits of the cultural imperialism leads to a negative effect to the Internet's development. This article analyses the phenomenon and the causes of 'cultural imperialism of the Internet', and puts forward some concrete suggestions to solve this problem.
