Heterogeneous Financial Demand in the Process of Urbanization: A Case Study of Zhucheng

2007年以来,山东诸城以农村社区为依托,开始了以"城乡一体化"为主要特点的城镇化发展进程。本文对该市城镇化进程中金融需求特点及如何通过金融创新适应城镇化需求情况进行了深入分析,认为城镇化进程中的金融需求具有异质性。金融服务必须要关注城镇化金融需求的异质性,才能实现金融发展与城镇化的双赢。此外,本文认为,城镇化发展的区域差异性,决定了优化金融支持城镇化效果必须要充分发挥地方政府的作用。

Since 2007, Zhucheng（Shandong province） has been exploring a development path called the Integra- tion of Urban and Rural Areas Based on Rural Communities. The paper analyzed the characteristics of Zhucheng＇ s ur- banization and how to meet the needs by financial innovation. The conclusion is that the financial demands for urbaniza- tion is not only different from that of cities, but also different from the traditional rural financial demands. In the mean- while, various urbanization development paths require various financial demands, thus it is key to pay attention to the heterogeneity of financial demand of urbanization. In addition, the paper argues that the urbanization difference in dif- ferent areas determines that financial support to urbanization needs the local government to Play an important role.
