Nowadays, some of the English majors are weak in the basic skills of English language and lack of cultural literacy. To solve this problem, the best approach is the reading of English classics. Through reading English classics, the students can feel the beauty of language and have a taste of western national spirits and characters to widen their cultural horizon, improve their humanistic quality and cultivate the sound personality.
