Some main technology problems in the renovation of the 3 000 t river to sea barge are introduced in order that the structural configuration and strength could satisfy the requirements of operation and the Regulation of the Sea going ships. Attentions are focused on the technology design of some key members, such as the treatment of the hatch coaming of the hold, the bottom side tank and the pushing knee, and the installation of the rack bars.
