文学作品中视觉与听觉的分化

视觉艺术的膨胀与听觉艺术的萎缩是当代美学中视觉艺术与听觉艺术分化的重要表征。这一艺术分化现象对当代文学作品的创作也产生了显著的影响,即过度追求文学作品的视觉化与空间化而忽略听觉化与时间性特征。其实,从文学源头来看,注重听觉化与时间性特征更是文学的本质属性。只不过,经历了语言与音乐的分化及语言与文字的分化之后,文学的发展与听觉艺术渐行渐远,这严重地削弱了文学作品的艺术表达效果。文学的未来应该回归其固有的听觉性特征,因为文学的本质就是声音与时间的艺术。许多注重听觉意象表达的现代经典小说指明了文学未来的发展方向。

The expansion of visual arts and weakening of auditory arts are the important manifestations of the division of visual arts and auditory arts in modern aesthetics. These divisions have given conspicuous impacts to the creation of modern literary works, namely, the over - pursuit of visual sense and space and neglect of auditory sense and time. But from the point of view of origin, auditory sense and time rather than visual sense and space are the intrinsic features of literature. After the division of lan- guage and music as well as that of oral language and written word, the development of literature has been further away from audi- tory arts. For this reason, the artistic effect of literary works has been serious impaired. As it is known to all, the essence of literature is the art of sounds and time, so it should come back to its intrinsic auditory feature in the future. The success of many classic modern fictions with attention to the expression of auditory images has shown the future direction for the literature＇s development.
