发热儿童血PCT水平及其与CRP和WBC的关系

Correlation between procalcitonin levels and C-reactive protein and white blood cell count in febrile children

目的:研究发热儿童血降钙素原(PCT)水平及其与C反应蛋白(CRP)及WBC的关系。方法:收集2012年1月至2013年5月中山大学孙逸仙纪念医院收治的32例急性发热儿童作为研究对象。根据血WBC水平分为A组16例(WBC升高);B组为16例(WBC正常或降低)。收集年龄、性别相匹配的32例健康儿童为正常对照组。检测血PCT、CRP及WBC水平。结果:A组患者血PCT水平高于B组和正常对照组(P<0.05);A组患者血CRP水平高于正常对照组(P<0.05);B组血PCT、CRP水平明显高于正常对照组(P<0.05)。A组患者血PCT水平与CRP、WBC水平呈正相关关系(r=0.68,r=0.76,P<0.05);而B组血PCT水平与CRP、WBC水平无相关关系(P>0.05)。结论:发热儿童血PCT升高伴随血WBC升高,二者具有正相关关系。

Objective：To investigate the relationship of procalcitonin （PCT） levels with C-reactive protein （CRP） and white blood cell count （WBC） in febrile children. Methods： Between January 2012 and May 2013, we recruited 32 febrile children from the department of medical laboratory testing, Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hospital. Children were allocated to group A （n = 16, characterized by increased WBC） and group B （n = 16, characterized by normal or decreased WBC）. We also enrolled 32 healthy children as the control group. This entailed measurement of the levels of PCT, CRP and WBC. Results： The levels of PCT （4.06 ±0.79 ） μg/L） and CRP （46.3 ± 19.3 ）mg/L were highest in group A, followed by group B and normal control group（ all P 〈 0.05 ）. In group A, there was a positive correlation between PCT and CRP or WBC （ r = 0.68 and 0.76, both P 〈 0.05 ）. However, these relations were absent in group B （ all P 〉 0.05 ）. Conclusion ： The increased levels of PCT which are accompanied by augmented WBC in febrile children are positively correlated with each other.
