从“三美”原则看对联英译

Translation of Antithetical Couplets:in the Light of "Three Beauties Principle of Sense,Sound and Form"

对联是中华文化的瑰宝,是中华文化传承的重要组成部分,也是中国文化走出去的重要内容,因此,对联的翻译具有重要的意义。对联作为最接近中国古典诗词的一种文学形式,其翻译也应遵循诗歌翻译的"三美"原则:意美、音美、形美。文章从这三个方面对对联翻译的原则作一探究,以期对对联翻译提供一点参考。

The antithetical couplet is a treasure of Chinese culture, an important component of Chinese cultural inheritance, and a significant content of traditional Chinese culture to step out of the country. As a traditional Chinese literary form in close proximity to poetry, the ＂Three Beauties Principle＂ beauty in sense, beauty in sound and beauty in form -- founded by Professor Xu Yuanchong to provide a guideline for the translation of poems, may also apply to the translation of antitheti cal couplet. This paper conducts a preliminary study of the translation of antithetical couplets from the Three Beauties Princi- ple so as to shed some light on the translation of antithetical couplets.
