Starting from the analysis of AutoCAD software’s nature, this paper analyzes the causes of students’ operation inefficiency and poor drawing skills of AutoCAD software. Besides, this paper introduces measures to improve students’ AutoCAD drawing skills, including the usage of shortcut keys. It emphasizes the practical skills and the increase of practice opportunity as well as active communication and design guidance. The practice shows that these measures efifciently improve students’ AutoCAD drawing skills.
