摘要
庞德的《中庸》翻译中显示出显著、连贯的新柏拉图光的哲学阐释倾向,产生的原因除了对当时政治环境的考虑之外,更重要的是基于新柏拉图思想与《中庸》的相似性,两者都构建了以神秘、超越的"一"为主导、具有层级性的思想体系。庞德《中庸》译本中新柏拉图思想的阐释主要是通过对原典结构操控、直接引入新柏拉图术语和对原典汉字字形的分析等三种路径来实现。新柏拉图"光的哲学"阐译提升了《中庸》的哲学性,丰富了《中庸》在西方的面相。
Pound＇s translation of Zhongyong embodies a conspicuous and coherent philo- sophical interpretation of Neoplatonic vision of light. Apart from political consideration, the interpretation is based on the similarities of mystical and transcendental ＂the One＂ and the hierarchical construction between Zhongyong and Neoplatonism and realized through the re- adjustment of Zhongyong＇s structure, adaptation of Neoplatonism＇s statements and the anal- ysis of the formation of Chinese characters. Pound＇s philosophical interpretation lifts Zhongyong＇s philosophical profoundness and diversifies its acceptance in the western coun- tries.
