摘要
华裔美国剧作家黄哲伦的《蝴蝶君》作为舞台剧大获成功,与其戏剧技法的运用关系密切。本文对《蝴蝶君》的戏剧结构、演员表演、舞台背景中所运用的离间效果进行分析,探讨黄哲伦是如何通过间离法来批判东方主义和倡导多元流变的文化身份观的。
The Chinese American playwright David Henry Hwang's M. Butterfly has been an immediate success in Broadway, greatly owing to its theatricality. This thesis analyses the Alienation-Effect of the structure, acting and stage setting in M. Butterfly, aiming to find out how, by means of A-Effect, Hwang achieves the criticism against Orientalism, and how he advocates the diversified and ever-changing quality of cultural identity.
