跨越彼岸:美国福州移民的跨国政治实践研究

Across the Border: a Study on the Transnational Political Immigrants in USA from Fuzhou China

本文在政治跨国主义理论的基础上,试图以美国福州移民为个案,考察无证移民的跨国政治实践模式及其带来的后果。从福州移民的主观动机来说,无论是跨国政治支持、参与,还是争夺政治资源获得祖籍国的认可,很大程度上是为了实现社会地位补偿、获得经济发展的机会以及获得政治合法性并最终能够顺利融入移居地。而对于祖籍国来说,移民的跨国政治活动与政府的外交政策、统战策略等国家战略不谋而合,因而获得了政府的认可。移民的跨国政治实践还很可能潜移默化地改变祖籍国与移居国之间的利益格局,促使双方思考如何从对立排斥走向合作共赢。

Based on the existing research of political transnationalism and Fuzhou immigrants in America, this paper examines the pattern and social consequence of the transnational political practice by undocumented immi-grants. We find out that the subjective motives of Fuzhou immigrants who take part in the transnational political support and participation pursuing the political resource from home country are to realize the social status com-pensation, obtain economic opportunity, acquire political legitimacy and then integrate into the host society. But for the home country, the transnational practice of Fuzhou immigrants is accord with the diplomatic policy and a united front policy of the home country, so their transnational political practice has been connived and accepted by the home government. The transnational political practice of immigrants may change the interest pattern be-tween home country and received country, encouraged by both sides from rejection to win-win cooperation.
