纵观大学发展的历史,其社会职能由最初的单一人才培养职能演进为以培养人才为主,具有多功能和复杂结构,不断发展变化的综合社会实体,体现教学、科研和服务的一体化。大学的职能演变是内在性与外在性的统一,呈现的是一个循序渐进的历史过程;大学的职能演变表现在纵向和横向两个维度上的拓展和延伸,追求的是各项职能间的良性互动、叠加效应。

With the development of colleges and universities, their social functions have improved to train the talents as main task instead of initial single aim,have mutiple functions and complex structure,the growing and changing comprehensive entity, embody the integration of teaching ,research and service. The development is the unification of inhesion and externality, make a progress gradually,also the prolongation and extension based on longitudinal and transverse, pursue the sound interaction and duplicate effect of the different functions.
