Role and Status of Veterinary Profession in One Health Approach

"同一健康"理念和方法着眼于人类、动物和环境健康的联系,强调跨学科、跨领域、跨部门、跨区域的共同协作,考虑的是通过改善环境来降低人和动物传染病或慢性病的发病和传播扩散风险。该理念已经被联合国粮农组织(FAO)、世界动物卫生组织(OIE)和世界卫生组织(WHO)等国际组织以及部分国家机构和跨学科专业团体看作疫病预防控制策略的主要构成元素。本文以国际化视野,从兽医的角度阐释"同一健康"理念,分析兽医工作在"同一健康"实践中的作用与地位。

The One Health approach focuses on the relatedness of human, animal, and environmental health, and emphasizes the importance of transdisciplinary, multi-field, and transboundary efforts. The One Health approach has been recognized as a major element of disease control and prevention strategies by international agencies, including the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the World Organization for Animal Health, and the World Health Organization and by national agencies and professional groups across multiple disciplines in several countries. Taking an international perspective, the authors will explain the One Health concept from a veterinary point of view, and analyze the role and status of veterinary profession in practice of the ＂One Health＂ .
