语言帝国主义相关教育范式批评及对英语教学的启示 被引量:1

The Critique of the Pedagogical Paradigm Related to Linguistic Imperialism and Its Implications for English Language Teaching

摘要 英语在当今世界的霸权地位使主流英语国家的语言和文化在英语作为第二语言和外语教育领域成为了一种参考常模。依据语言帝国主义理论,从教学目标、教学内容和教师语言身份三个视角分析了该领域所存在的与语言帝国主义相关的本族语者范式,揭示了该范式自身的弊端,以及采用该范式的负面影响。同时,对如何调整此教育范式提出了一系列具体策略,以便在英语教育和教学过程中有效抵制英语帝国主义。 The hegemony of English language in our current world has made the language and cul- ture of main stream English-speaking countries the reference model in the educational arena of English as a second language and English as a foreign language. Based on the theory of Linguistic Imperialism, this article analyses the Native-speakerist paradigm related to Linguistic Imperialism that exists in this educational area and exposes the weakness of the paradigm itself as well as its side effects in applica- tion via three perspectives: teaching objective, pedagogical content and the linguistic identity teachers. Meanwhile, it also presents a series of concrete strategies on how to adjust this paradigm so as to resist English Imperialism effectively in the process of English language education or teaching.
