The article offers an introduction of the X＋Q Studio designed by Atelier 100s＋1 based out of Songzhuang, Beijing. By comparing X＋Q Studio to the author＇s previous Songzhuang Studio, the author triesto summarize the design approaches that run through his entire career as well as the characteristics of this particular project, namely the ＇mountain＇ shape of the studio as well as the spatial relations between the paths connecting the studio＇s components.
