A2 Architects and De Blacam ＆ Meagher architects are two representative irish architectural firms established by architects of different generations. The differences and similarities of ideas and understanding of architecture could be learned from both their descriptions and practices. Their differences are at once transparent and subtle. Further, an analysis of the circumstances, materials and crafts that they employ to realize their ideas will help us know more about contemporary Irish architecture.
