The conventional measures of purifying organic exhaust gases,such as adsorbent technique and direct combustion,have many defects.They are easy to result in pollution or are restrained by many other aspects.The catalytic combustion is developing step by step into an applicable technique in recent years.It possesses many advantages, such as small occupancy ,high efficiency and saving energy,etc.But because of its intricacy of technological process and choosing equipment ,as well as its short term from lab to practice,many people do not know it very well,so retarding its application. In this paper,we are to introduce the mechanism,technological process and safety measures of catalytic combustion .The engineering investment assession under different gas flow has been provided as well.To offer some practice reference to the people in the same trade,we also discuss how to choose the catalyzer,how to set the preheating temprature and the reaction process between the main gases and the surface of catalyzers in the purifying equipment.
