In English class, making mistakes are inevitable. Because teaching and learning English is actually a process which means finding errors and correcting errors constantly. Correction is a way of helping students to acquire standard English. Therefore, teachers should have a adquate and full understanding for students＇ mistakes, and correction should not be seen as a kind of criticism or punishment. This paper will make a deep discussion on correction, and try to find efficient methods which can help English teachers improve their class teaching as well as to enable students to improve their English levels.
