Jimmy Porter in Look Back in Anger is a typical example of ＂an angry young man＂ and Jimmy＇s anger reflects aspirations of the young generation after the war. This paper intends to reveal inevitability and universality of Jimmy＇s anger by exploration of Jimmy＇s major reasons of anger from three aspects, including social origin, class antagonism and existentialism. The work embodies realistic spirit of the dramatist＇ s disclosing social problems and searching for truth.
