Application of six Sigma management theory in organization of literature and information in hospital library

目的:基于六西格玛理论,优化医院图书馆文献信息组织的整体流程。方法:根据六西格玛5步法(DMAIC)的原理,针对信息组织质量问题,制定改进措施方案。结果:加强书目的查重、规范本馆编目原则、利用联合编目、提高馆员的知识素养等改进措施,使整个工作流程得到了优化。结论:采用六西格玛管理方法,可加强医学图书馆文献信息组织质量控制,使工作流程更合理、标准和规范。

Objective To optimize the whole literature and information organization process in hospital library ac-cording to the six Sigma theory.Methods The measures for improving the quality control of information organization were worked out according to the 5 steps of six Sigma principle .Results The whole literature and information organ-ization process was optimized by examining the repetitive books in bibliography , standardizing the cataloguing prin-ciples, using the union catalogue, and improving the knowledge literacy of librarians.Conclusion Six Sigma man-agement methods can improve the quality control of literature and information organization in medical library and make the literature and information organization process more rational and standardized .
