Recently, a subtle ＂psychological warfare＂ has occurred between Russia and the West over the issues such as Putin＇s deployment of troops in Ukraine, Crimea referendum and the Security Council＇s vote. Due to its advantages in history, culture, geopolitics and economic ties with Ukraine, Russia holds a dominant power over the current situation of the crisis. Under the shadow of a ＂new cold war＂, both Russia and the West have always strategically maintained a cautious attitude. However, with the independence of Crimea and Putin＇s announcement that it formally joins Russia, Moscow＇s action seems to have touched the ＂bottom line＂ of the West, and the Ukraine crisis has entered a new stage. China always uphold an objective and fair position on the Ukraine issue, and calIon all sides to resolve their differences through negotiations, which not only reflects China＇s principles for dealing with international relations, but also accords with its own national interests.
