悲剧英雄——隔离型悲剧模式下的《吉姆爷》

Tragic Hero——Analysis of Lord Jim from the Perspective of the Isolation Mode of Tragedy

在研究英国作家康拉德的著名小说《吉姆爷》中出现的隔离型悲剧模式后认为:文中的主人公吉姆的一生不只在为一个失误活着,为另一个失误去死,而是这场悲剧的英雄。对《吉姆爷》的隔离型情节结构进行分析,有助于更清楚地理解康拉德作品中浓郁的悲剧意识,以及其作品中悲剧人物身上所体现出的勇于承担的英雄精神。

After analyzing the isolation mode of tragedy appearing in the novel Lord Jim by English writer Conrad, this paper con-cludes that Jim, the main character of the novel, more than lives for one fault and dies from another one, and actually he is the hero of the tragedy. A study on the plot of isolation mode will help understand the strong tragedy sense in Conrad ’s work and the heroic spirit of be-ing responsible for the faults appearing on the tragedy character.
