Shanghai Free Trade Zone（FI＇A） is a very important beginning as the fourth wave of Reform and Opening - up in China. The policy taken in FTA will bring positive effects towards shipping industry, which include lower financing cost, higher asset management level, more internationalized interior shipping enterprises and greater port capacity. By the start of FI＇A, co- operation between Waigaoqiao Port and Yangshan Port will be strengthened, the competitive power of shipping companies will be enhanced and globalization of Shanghai shipping industry will be speed up.
