Nearly 100 chapters in Pu Songling＇s Strange Tales from Liaozhai involved the imperial examination sys-tem,accounting for nearly one fifth of the total.This thesis explores the chapters related to the imperial examination system and analyzes the imperial examination system and the concerned factors of the system based on Pu Songling＇s personal experience on the subject of the imperial examinations.
